Newcombe Business Services Limited was formed to assist businesses with strategy and management skills or just give some extra support and confidence to move forward or change model.
We try to avoid the ‘c’ word – consultant. Nothing at all wrong with the principal or process of consultancy but it’s in the delivery where it sometimes goes wrong. Many have been there, confronted by a ‘consultant’ with a ‘concept’ who primarily appears to confuse, leading to some consternation and perhaps the feeling of disappointment.
Of course, you’re expecting us to claim we’re different, and of course we think we are but the question is why?
Well, we’re simply not consultants. We are advisors, confidants, facilitators, sounding boards and sometimes, shoulders to cry on, who work very hard with individuals and organisations who share our practical approach to making things simpler and easier, but who are in need of some additional help.
We also see ourselves very much as ‘opportunity translators’, particularly where private and public sector meet. Because we bridge both sectors, we have an intuitive understanding of the difficulty of communication but also the huge opportunities that exist.
We apply either an entrepreneurial SME or a more structured corporate approach, and sometimes a mixture of both, whichever is the most appropriate. We are authentic pragmatists who apply huge experience to quite challenging and complicated projects but always deliver simple and jargon free results – and to the brief!
